OBJECTIVES :

Library Advisory Committee
College Library has
advisory Committee estabilished as per stepulated norms. The advisory
Commitee consisting of Pricipal as chairperson and librarian act
as member secretary. Two faculty members each ne from social science
and langnage subjects are the members of library advisory committee.
Library advisory Committee is to administer all the its functions
and transacted business through meentngs. Session wise two meetings
are conducted in the year.

total 15 journals and periodicals consisting of 10 national and
international and remaining five belong to state level in all three
langnages of English, Marathi and Hindi. All the journals and periodicals
mormally availabale to user within the reading room area of library.
J&P are not issue for home use. Librarian is taking care of
readers to provides currents information on deamand fron the users
from purticular journal.

Library acquiring seven
news papers one each in English and Hindi languges remaining five
i Marathi language. All the news papers are available reading only

Budget
College library has estimated budget
of reading materials is Rs. 35000/. Library fee coolected from students
as approved by SGB- Amravati University is only source of revnue
for the lbary. This collected fund is alloted to different items
of reading material as per the stepulated norms prepared by library
advisory committee in consutation with norms and standards estabilished
by national bodies and committees of library and information science.
Membership
In academic year 2008-09 library
has total 331 members consisting of 303 students, 11 teachers, one
CHB teacher,7 non teachig employee, 7 alumni and 6 are outsider.
Regular students has allow to circulate books (one undr Books Bandk
Schame other two on borrower's tickets). All the books except book
bank scheme are issue for seven days extendable for the same period
at one time. Alumui have taken the care for library services during
last 10 years for circulatiion for books purticulary for preparation
of competative examinations. Outsiders which consisted of senior
citizens have also given the books' for reading of their interest.
Ex-students are the beneficiary of library purticularly for preparation
of various competative examination and like other purposes.
Special Collection
College library has maintained
special collection on Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh and Sant Gulabrao Maharaj.
Library is also maintained special collection on NAAC Assessment
and Accreditation as well as allied issues of A/A process of higher
education institutions.'Library has holding of 25 Books / phamplets
published by NAAC.
Librarian's profile
Librarin's Profile Library has
two empoyee compresing librarian and library attendent. Librarian
is UGC qualified employee trained in Library and Information Science
subject alongwith postagraduate degree in Commrece. He has nine
years exprience in the same institute and two years in other colleges
including Govt College if Education at Ratnagiri. He has published
seven technical/research papers in various national and state levels.
conferences and seminars held at, mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Amravati.
He has completed training on Web page Desing and internet based
sources at National institute of rural Development (ministry of
Rural Development, Govt. of india) Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad. He
has contributed some journal article on various issues of higher
education and library and information science.
